shellyh1971 - 2013-12-03 10:35 PM What part of Houston were you in? Im sure you are aware, if you work in this area much, but there are some very undesireable areas to be in.
I am in cy-fair / cypress this week. My hotel is by 290 and 1920.
Thats northwest of me. Normally that area isnt to bad at all.
Low crime areas are just as prone for this as high crime areas here in Houston.  There is a professional ring for anything having precious metals.  DPF, catalytic converters, wheels, copper wire.  Dealerships are particularly vulnerable.  Mine have been hit three times this year.

yes, I am fully aware of that.. As im sure you are aware that area is not "normally" a high crime area. As far as thefts and vandalisim I know it happens everywhere, but its just not as common in that area.

I'm not trying to argue with you.  That is a nice area.  Just letting everyone know that it is a problem everywhere here so don't let your guard down.

My husband has done some research And found that some people Are welding the bolts to make it harder to get it off. Just a thought for anyone with diesels. It seems these things are in high demand.

Nope no kiss. Lol. At least I only have to pay deductible and I will probably be able to expense my rental as a work expense. Oh heck just realize who should have kissed me more. The TheIF or the dealership lol

If all that was stolen was the DPF and nothing was torn up that is at least twice what it should cost to fix.

I really have no idea exactly what was stolen othe than DPF. It was a 2 foot section of my exhaust system in the middle. Dodge said the part was 2500 on its own. I know that deals overcharge for parts but when your in a bind and not near home you go somewhere dependable who will stand behind work.

I was thinkin' a little electric fence that would zot the bad guys pretty good when they stick their scummy faces under there!  Just hit the remote to activate it when you leave your truck and curl their hair if they are in the wrong place!
