I'm thinking of adding an electric jack to my Christmas list. I have a bad back & the 28 turns to crank my trailer on or off my truck don't help.

I have a 2003 3 horse Silver Star with 5.5 short wall with homemade living quarters.

What do I need to know? Any suggestions? Brands? Capacity? Things to watch out for? I don't currently have batteries on my trailer. I'm assuming I will need one added.

Thanks,
Brenda

The electric hydraulic jacks are much stronger and last longer. There is a significant price difference. On a trailer that size the full electric should be fine. But if you can get a good deal on the other, go for it.

I would go with hydraulic too... They just seem much better to me and you can hook and unhook in NO TIME!
