Location: Wisconsin | Sooo my b/f and I were talking today lets just go watch the final rounds of nfr next week out there...so I'm online looking for flights/hotels and seems right now the Flamingo is the best value from Fri till Mon stay. Just curious if the Cowboy Christmas shopping ends the 14th or is it open that Sunday the 15th as well? Or does everyone pack up after Sat. night's perform? I was out there 3yrs ago but for the 1st weekend...curious to anyone's opinions if it's worth going? Thanks |

Location: Bandera, TX | You might want to check out the prices at the Excalibur as well. We always stay there, as it is reasonable and clean. Close to the sky train at the MGM as well. I have a friend who always stays through Monday after the last rodoe perf. I believe she still shops on Sundays. |

We stayed at the Riviera years ago so I don't know if they have updated anything but it was very old and the beds sucked.. |

Location: Wisconsin | Just looking at the Excalibur now, is it walking distance on the strip I can't remember. Looks like The Quad is newly remodeled the old Imperial and a good location. They have flight/hotel for $376 each...uggg decisions! |

Google map of Las Vegas hotels - the Excalibur is on the south end of the Strip. |

I stayed at the Riviera last year and will be there again this year. For no more time that I spent in the room, it was inexpensive, the rooms were very CLEAN, decorated nicely, and noise free. All of the vendor shows close at the end of business day on Sat the 14th. |

Location: Randolph, Utah | I think one of the trade shows is open Sunday, maybe Mandalay?
I've stayed at the Rivera a few years ago and I thought it was good. You aren't in the room much anyway, if I remember there wasn't a huge restaraunt selection but that doesn't matter much in vegas. The Excalibur is good as well. |

Could very well be. I wonder if the trade show at South Point will run through Sun considering they are roping on Sunday this year. Last year both SP and CC closed Sat. pm. The only reason I know that is because I worked booths at both venues. |

Location: Wisconsin | Thanks everyone, still need to make our decision today! Looks like The Quad is walking distance to stuff too, Riviera is somewhat on the north end, I don't want to have to taxi everytime we leave our hotel... |

| Ive always stayed at Excaliber cuz its cheap. From there you take free tram and then walk to Mandaley Bay shopping (forget the name); or you cross the street to the new NRS shopping at the MGM. Lots of bits and tack and stuff; or inside the MGM for $5 you board the tram to Convention Ctr for Cowboy Christmas and i m thinking you take same tram the next day for The Sands Country Christmas.... From Excaliber you can board free shuttle to watch the perf - or you can go to MGM for best live feed in smoke free environment - gotta get in line early though since i think it only seats like 300. This year i had room reservations at $60/nite at MGM. I decided to give them my business cuz they support rodeo and Excaliber stopped its live feed in their convention center. I think the bars in most casinos have live feed if you can handle the smoke! Im an ex smoker of 30+ years and i cant stand the smoke!! Lol .... But sadly i cant go this year so thats the best help i can give you. |

| Super! That way I do not have to watch a full day of team roping lol. Does anyone know where you can find info on the monorail/tram? I have seen it all these years and never tried it. If there are gals here that are leaving Mon am let's get together Sun night and have a big going home party!

I'd like to meet up, but I won't be there Sunday. Sorry.
