They have over 400 dogs there and most only get about 5 days before they are PTS. You name it they have it. Very clean facility with 3 huge buildings full of dogs. I have rescued before and those dogs just seem to be the most loving.......You can get a great dog without having to deal wiith puppy issues......Just thought Christmas was a nice time to do it again....
I saw on Facebook this morning that there were three labs (two look to be purebred chocolate lab, the black one looks older and not pure lab, although doesn't really matter to me). Anyhow, three dogs, to be put down TODAY!! I went over to San Antonio Animal Care Services and they are all saved, and off the kill list. I am taking the chocolate female, and my friend Steve is taking the two males. I am leaving work, right now actually, to go get them. These dogs would be dead by now. I have to bring them back next Tuesday to get sterilized.
God bless you, Snazzy, and all the others who care enough to adopt a shelter dog!!
