Location: Buffalo, Wyoming | Does anyone have a degree in Business Administration or HR? These are 2 areas that really interst me.
Do you use your degree? Would you do it over? How much schooling did it take?
Looking into going back to school in the new year and trying to decide what I want to do.
ETA: I guess I should learn how to spell before I go back to school... LOL

Location: Deep South | I was trying to decide which major to go with about a year or so ago and was almost set on a BA degree, I talked to several people who have a BA degree and they all said they regretted not majoring in something more field-specific. BA is just so broad/general and when you graduate you just have a little bit of knowledge about a whole lot of stuff, not a lot of knowledge about anything in particular, like you would if you went with HR or Management or Finance, etc. |

Location: Sunny So Cal | I don't have my degree in HR or Business Administration but my sister does. She has hers in HR and she loves her job. but she is also very picky and won't take any other job that doesn't involve her being in HR. So she uses her degree everyday. Mine is in Food Marketing and Agribusiness Management and I love it. I just happened to get a job in my degree field as well. :) |

| Do it! It's the only way to be considered for a job in the HR, Accounting, Business world! We now review the GPA too. Try to keep it above 3.5. Any amount of schooling is better than none! If you have the funds and time get your Bachelors! You can get you a minor in Business Admin with a major in HR or Accounting. Business Administration degree gives you a lot of different outlets, AR, AP, Bookkeeper, Banker, Billing Clerk, Appraiser, Benefits administrator, the list goes on and on. If you specify your degree into something, i.e. HR, Accounting, etc, you could potentially earn more than those with just a Business Administration degree.

Location: Kentucky | I have my BA in Business Admin and I work in HR. I love it. I started in finance, hated it, and moved to HR. You get to interact with people and don't have to deal with numbers, but you are still under corporate. |

| I have my bachelors in BA, and double majored in HR and Business Management. I don't regret it, but currently don't use it due to changing jobs last year. But I'm hoping to move up within the company and utilize it one of these days. |

Location: Bandera, TX | I earned a Masters Degree in BA in 1999 and have worked for Corporate America ever since. I would stronlgy suggest the HR degree over a general BA degree. This way you have a specific 'focus" and are not a jack of all trades. If I could do it over again I would get a degree in HR or accounting. |

| I'd look into Accounting if I were you. Every business major needs accounting. If you are interested in finance at all go with the accounting degree because you can get a job in finance with a degree in accounting but you cannot get a job in accounting with a degree in finance. And before you say you aren't good with numbers I will say that is okay, accounting is about numbers to a certain extent, but it's also about research and communication - both oral and written. Good luck! |

She has a 4 year degree in information system management (computers). She started out working for my step dad in his recruiter business and moved on and up from there.
Her job requires alot of travel both domistic and over seas. She works alot of hours and has to do quite a few presentations. She really loves her job and makes a really good living. |
