I bought a Nutribullet last year.   I put my favorite raw fruits and veggies in it, always along with a banana, and it really helped my energy level.    After a while you begin to crave these  nutritious concoctions.

My doc says---the easiest thing to stick to is this. Don't go on a diet, but change your habits. You carry things with you, such as peanut butter crackers, cheese, protein bars, trail mix, fruit etc. About every 2-3 hours, take maybe 2 bites and put it back up. Most of these things fit in your coat pocket. This tricks your body into thinking it doesn't have to hold on to food, so your metabolism speeds up. It also shrinks your stomach so you can't hold those big meals like you did before. He said you also want to eat good meals, just cut it all in half. You can still have dessert, just cut it in half. Later you will cut it again, so you are used to eating only say for instance, 1-2 bites of it. By going ahead and eating it though, you don't feel as deprived. If you're going to eat protein, make sure to read the label. Protein should be high, carbs and sugars should be significantly lower. Many protein drinks are for weight lifters and are full of carbs etc.

Maybe take a rainy day, get your crockpot out, make beans, stew, a roast, etc., divide it into small containers, date it, and freeze it all. This way, any good dinner can be reheated in the microwave and be ready with no work, no dishes, no getting too hungry waiting for it to cook. This is the only way we make it in the summer.

A blender with a banana, some berries, 1 spoonful of frozen OJ right out of the can, and maybe some frozen yogurt or ice cream is great and fast for breakfast.

Also, if you're going to buy veggies, go to a farmer's market. If you can't do that, buy frozen over canned.
Never buy baby carrots. Don't buy taters from a store if you can help it. If anything looks too green, too pretty, too shiny, don't eat it. It's probably chemically treated to be pretty. I know in a rural area, farmer's markets are the easiest way to find veggies that are better for you.

I know it's not a popular word to say on here, but.. I'm vegan (GASP!). [Strictly a dietary vegan, we still hunt (donate the meat to my parents) and fish, etc.] I will say, I used to be all but addicted to fast food, but once I made the decision to get healthy, it's been amazing and I've lost weight, my cholesterol and blood pressure are down as well. I agree with the posters that have said, once you really start eating healthy, the fast food joints will make you naucious. Knowing what to buy at the grocery store and making sure that you have nothing but healthy snacks around makes it so much easier to stick with it. I prep a lot of my meals for the week on the weekend, keep a good supply of easy to grab fruits and veggies around, heck, I've even stashed a container of unsalted mixed nuts in the car to keep me going.

What about Nutrisystem or one of those that plan your meals? Can't think of the other one, have a friend on Medifast lost about 30 pounds, but has started gaining back, I have lost 15 pounds past 6 months, eating nearly nothing, going to bed hungry. Then I lost my resolve and couldn't get enough to eat. Gained back 6 pounds so far, Deciding on Nutrisystem I think I really need structure right now. You know I think there is something so right with the saying "fat and happy" dieting is making me irritable.
