Pozzi Pro vs Double J Pro

I was wondering what the difference is between the Pozzi Pro and the Double J Pro. I have ridden in the Pozzi and liked the deep seat and the feel. I was wondering how the Double J compared and felt.

I just asked these same questions in Vegas and sat in them both. The horse fit is exactly the same. The Pozzi's cantle and pommel are one inch taller. I'm not sure by exactly how much, maybe a half an inch, but the horn is taller too.

Thank you. Did it seem like it would make much of a difference when riding?

the double j pro tree is 1/8" wider gullet than the standard pozzi tree. the bar angle is the same.
I have both. I think my legs stay under me a little better in the pozzi, but that could be also because of the difference in horses I use them on.

I own a pozzi and I'm about to trade for a double J pro so I'll let you know what I think about them.

Well for one the tree is different. It's not only wider, it fits different than a pozzi. The pro has a lower cantle and forward hung stirrups. The pommel also doesn't sit as high or straight as it does on the pozzi. I've had both and liked both. The pozzi sits you straight and holds you in better. The pozzi is still my favorite.

Miz Pozzi built hers to fit her butt and her style of horses... I follow her FB and watch her rides.. Some of you might fit her saddles, some of her saddles might fit your horses... Others will not.
(for obvious reasons
) Don't diss her stuff because it does not fit you or your horse. Just sayin'.

I've had both and prefer the Pozzi for my style. I felt the pro was a little more generous in the seat. You really need to make a run to feel the difference.

I was told that the Double J Pro has about 1.5" more thigh room.... But I still felt like I needed the same seat size.

The pro runs .5 inches bigger so your 14'' will fit like a 14.5 its the old CJ tree. Lower swells and cantle. It puts you a little more on your pockets rather than over your horse. I made the switch and im much happier with the pro.
