stallions with old running blood like Pa Jones, Leo, Jet Of Honor, Easy Jet etc. up close? Those are just examples of what I'm thinking of. I really like those old lines and am just curious as to what is out there in terms of breeding stallions. Thought it might be a fun thread :) One of my favorites that I've found is Honors A Bounding. LOVE him and his offspring.

I was going to say Honors A Bounding, but you already listed him. There is Firewater Jets. He's by Firewater Flit and out of a Pa Jones mare. I found them hard to get in contact with and hard to get answers out of way back when I was interested in him. He was in SD. Good looking dude.

My stallion in out of a DAUGHTER of Bunny Bid. (I would call that "older lines" since he (Bunny Bid) was foaled in the 60's.)

Cajo is still alive. Bill has him at Bronson.  My Mr Jess Perry/Holland Ease mare is due to have a foal by him in May.

Don't overlook Guys Easy Jet. Very well bred horse. He is a son of Frenchmans Guy out of a daughter of Easy Jet. This day and time you will not get Easy Jet any closer. I bred to him last year and my mare slipped her foal so will be breeding back to him this year.

Bet the Cash is out of a daughter of Easy Jet, and by Dash for Cash but I don't know if he is standing anymore. I noticed he is not on the website this year.

Anyone else find it kind of interestmg that we've evolved away from those "Classic" bloodlines?  Seems like Three Bars, Doc Bar, King, Clabber.....they are all getting farther and farther away....it's been happening for years but I grew up with those bloodlines and now it's hard to see them be not so common anymore,

Here is a link to the pedigree of our stud. He is Tiger Leo, Flaming Jet, Boyd Flick, Rebel Cause and a 3/4 brother in blood to Jeanne Anderson's 2x NFR  gelding Flaming Firebug.

Thanks for all the input everybody! I've got lots of research to do :) I just really love those old lines. I have a grand daughter of Pa Jones and when I eventually breed her I would love to put some more Pa Jones and other old running lines on her.

I guess I don't under stand the question.  IMO, I wouldn't say people have "evolved away" from those lines in general.  It's just as you said, they are getting farther and farther away.  That can't be avoided when you are talking about horses that were alive and breeding a lot of years ago.
