Sara, if she likes it, I would take it somewhere to get the top re done. It took him about 20-30 minutes to give it a whole new look on mine. It honestly looks like any other felt hat, just has the awesome lace under the brim that I wanted. I love it now and it fits wonderful.
As for the bar hopping, that is what the hats were originally sold for, people to wear on the streets, line dancing etc. Doesn't mean those are the only people that bought them so I meant no offense. Jackie Jatzue (sp?) rocked them at the NFR one year. |

Aqhaczy - 2014-01-06 4:13 PM Sara can't you send it back get a refund?   Like you said lot of money for something that doesn't fit. It's a shame C1H doesn't put a disclosure in the hat telling the buyer to beware... "not for riding in"    "Buckle Bunnies welcome"  Â
Yep I will be. We where just trying to decide it it was worth it to try getting a different size or just get a refund and shop for something else.Â
Yup...unfortunately there are lots of "Western" things that are for buckle bunnies and not us actual riders: Corral Boots, Miss Me Jeans, etc.
I also got a C1H hat and discovered that it fits a bit oddly. But it is a "round" shape and not an "oval." I am just going to re-shape it since I love everything else and don't have the $$ for a Shorty's Custom. |

Location: Central TX | I have 6 of them and I run in them no problem. I run at pro rodeos down here on a weekly basis and lots of women where them. I dont really think they are a "buckle bunny" thing. they are NICE hats. |

Location: mi | I think its the shape on them. They are a round and most of the other brands are oval shaped. I can't where them either but many do. |

You sent me straight to Google, but all I could find was a race car driver. I need pics of this man wearing his girlie hat. |

Richard owns Nascar teams and they show him in interviews wearing these Godawful hats. I'll have to see if I can find any pic's. |

Location: MO | Am I watching an episode of Rodeo Girls here? Buckle bunnies and actual riders? Yips.
I have a C1H hat and LOVE it. I run in it, ride in it, go dnace in it if need be, and keep it pretty. I have an expensive black felt hat that I barely wear compared to the C1H. I also have a Resistol palm leaf hat that I love too.
The C1H is a 6 7/8 and with a little foam, fits perfect. My black felt is 6 3/4 (or 5/8) and fits a little snug so I had it stretched a little, esp over the forehead area and it now fits perfectly. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | it's funny the people that are offended that the hats were made for what you are calling buckle bunnies...because they were. The hatter I talked to that reworked mine, knows the man. Charlie I am supposeing his name is, and knows what his market started out for. So don't take offense to what these hats were made for, just be glad they are pretty cool and we can rodeo in them as well (once they are revamped to fit on one's head). |
