| ...on an ad that says "barrel racing days are over". Just thought I would ask your input quickly. The horse is just what I am looking for. Between age 6-10, at least one popular bloodline up close (grand daughter of Firewater Flit), over 15h, a forward mover, thicker boned, and under $2,000. The ad says nothing about injury. I'm planning to call and ask more about the horse but wondering what questions I should ask before I waste anyone's time going to look at her.

Location: Deep South | I would just ask what do they mean by "barrel racing days are over?" Ask them if it is injury related, if yes, what injuries, how extensive, chances of coming back, cost to maintain/treat/heal, is the horse ok for other types of riding/discipline? If no, then please explain.
Then I would just tell them, I'd like a day or two to think about it and study up on whatever (injury/condition) it is, will call back. |

I didn't even think of this! Lol! Could be the owner is no longer barrel racing. |

| Well unless the horse is injured I don't understand saying it can't run anymore. So I'm worried if they find out I'm a barrel racer they won't deal with me. haha. |

Oh it says
"She is a solid trail mare and has potential to go in many directions, working cows or western dressage? She has barrel racing blood lines, but her barrel racing days are behind her."

Sounds like maybe she is burned out on barrels, just ask them and let us know what they had to say. |

| UPDATE:
The girl says she thinks the horse has a previous SI injury. I was hoping for a blown mind. That is something I can work with. |
