Jammie, I don't know if shock wave will work on the coffin joint, that is pretty deep in there and most shockwaves won't go that far in ...with any accuracy. Not sure either what the IRAP would do for an already existant spur. It is labeled for treatment of synovitis and cartilage damage.
In my opinion.. and we all know what that is worth... i would for sure check into the Tildren. It should be able to stop the process of the spur growing and may even correct it some. Just my two cents.

I can speak from experience on the shockwave. I had one with serious ringbone in the coffin joint. OSU tried the shockwave because they had seen results with it on high ringbone
(in the pastern joints
).. but it didn't penatrate well and we saw no improvements. Then working at the clinic, I saw numerous horses respond well to Tildren that had navicular issues... so that is the reasoning behind my input.

Did you have an MRI done? Becuase IMO and experience- I have wasted TONS of money on feet not knowing what other issues may be primary or secondary.
If the horse performs now- but you want to help him last or keep going then I would try Tildren via regional profusion
(sp?
). I also highly recommend Riata Equine for any foot issue.
