| Houston is shut down today, all schools closed, we do not have the equipment to deal with icy roads plus add in stupid drivers and it is the best decision. Our local stations crack me up though with their nonstop coverage of it- I don't think it is as exciting as they do, lol. You can see the amount we received does not even cover the grass.
you can laugh at us, it's ok :

| Wish we could get a little bit of that snow! We haven't seen a drop of precipitation in our valley since November 21st!
The mountains did get a little unexpected snow last night. The chain controls were our big news for the morning!
We are in desperate need!

Location: In the Hills of Texas | San Antonio pretty much closed down because of the ice on the roads, especially the overpasses that freeze first. Doesn't matter where you live...you can't drive on ice and San Antonio does not have salt so the only thing that takes care of it is mother nature. They will actually throw pea gravel on the bridges that does basically nothing except to end up breaking a lot of windshields.
I went out to turn on my heater in my LQ's last night and my whole trailer was a sheet of ice.
People are stupid as there were warnings about this happening all day yesterday and people were told to stay home.
