I'm solo tonight and needing to vent so BHW listen up
I have been beyone happy to finally find a feed that is perfect for my needs. It is specialty so I had to order a full pallet of it; it came in today so I jaunt in to town to pick it up! Tonight, I went to feed and excitedly rip open the first bag to find.........!
It’s in cake form
I had specifically asked for the small pellets as the one horse that really needs it WILL NOT eat cake.
I spent about 20 minutes trying to get a piece in her mouth so she could at least taste it and see that it's her normal feed with just a different look, but she wouldn't have it.
Just a little frustrated as it took twice as long as the feed store said it would to get here and it’s not even the right stuff. Looks like I'm out of feed again for another 2 weeks and I hope they take the pallet back! If not, well, I hope the SO likes 25% protein as we might be the ones eating it lol

Very large pellets - like cow cake

If it makes you feel any better....after months and months of looking for a good feed, I finally found one that my mare looked amazing on! Well, I live in south Dakota. And the barn I board at doesn't have any part of its that's heated, so the feed...turns out it freezes rock solid in the cold. And I live in a dorm so its not like I can just haul the feed bags up 3 flights of stairs and store it inside haha. I ended up beating on the chunk of feed with a screw driver trying to feed the lasts of it to my mare! Eventually I just gave up. So back to the 'perfect' feed search for me...sigh
