I think the biggest problems with seats is, they are all made differently and many place the fenders forward, some are behind the center and some are centered. Cantles can be tipped differently as can the swells and that will make a difference too. Then the leg opening can vary too! How much rise is in the seat, does it restrict the movement or is it flatter? Hmmmm, I hope this makes everyone think a little more about seat size! A 14" isn't the same from one saddle to another no more than a size 7 jean fits the same in every brand.

I was told if a saddle throws your forward its the wrong seat size.

Too big or too small?

Too small........your legs hang differently than intended and the balance is not there!

I recently got a Jackie Jatzlau treeless saddle after trying out a tammy fischer and love it!, never have the problem of getting thrown forward like I did in a prorider. I rode in a 14" prorider and I am very light and slim but ride a huge horse, I was only thrown forward when he would leave the turns. I really like the feel of the treeless, I feel more in sync with my horses and no more air under my hiney when they really fire off a turn.

Wanted to add I went with the jackie j version instead of tammy fischer because I didn't like how high the cantle and back of the seat were, felt too deep and trapped. The jackie j has more of your typical treed saddle feel to it.
