I went to the vet yesterday and was also told my horse's lower hocks are fusing too. We did lower and upper injections in his hocks. We also shoed him and put pour-on pads on, he was a little sore in the front too. I wanted to try this before surgery. She also said once I start to leg him up we are going to put him on previcox, we did that last year too. I am hoping they fuse and fuse quickly!! I am anxious to start riding soon, hopefully ND decides to get above 0 and stay there for awhile. I actually came on here today to look up hocks fusing!

We have had awful weather and been real wet and just let him be for awhile with no suppliments just to,see where i am. Shoer just came out monday and said he was really sore in the rear. I went to,a funeral yesturday and a vet i know was there just talking to her just to find out what i need to and since i am getting two differing opinions. I think he may be more sore on left as last year when i ran he always do a xtra little step around the second, kind of a compensating soreness. I dont know i get him unsore in his hocks, i cant get him in shape, cause he will get sore in his stifles. The xray of his left hock shows the reason for,his sorness.
