Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | In laws live in town about 20 miles from us. Both disabled, can't drive, no car, no stores close by, don't do internet shopping.....
Mother in law calls me today and asks me to get a box of chocolate and a card for father in law. Father in law is too "proud" to ask someone to get a gift for him to her.
So I managed to sneak his gifts in from mother in law, and while she was signing the card, I snuck a card to him to fill out while mother in law wasn't looking. Snuck back out and brought in the card and roses for her :)
Now BOTH of them are completely baffled and I'm just sitting here smirking. |

Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | When we went to leave (hubby and I) his mom looked at his dad and said thank you so very much, that she had no idea he had thought to get something....his dad just looked at me and winked :) His dad and I don't really see eye to eye, not in a bad way, but essentially we don't really know each other very well. He would never have asked me to do this for him, but I'm pretty darn sure he's really grateful that I did, and I had a smile on my face the whole drive home :) Gosh it feels good to make other people smile without having to be asked to do it. I think I nailed it. |

Love those roses- how cool!
For some reason, this year - for today- I have been avoiding Facebook- I don't know why, really, just not caring to see the Valentine's day 'look what I got' posts....
But yours, I guess, is what I needed to see,--- someone or two, who didnt have the ability to get or receive, but did with your help!
Winks are so under-rated--- they say so much! ;) |
