Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | If you want the list of saddles I have NOT tried on this horse, it would be much much shorter :) He had three different crown c models on, none of which I even rode him. The whole idea of behind the shoulders will not work for this horse. Caldwell he has had a rocket, a pro max, and I forget the other one. Double J he has had LM, LM wide, LM Nuevo, Pozzi wide, number 10 tree, and one other that I forget. A few coats, treeless, and about a dozen other brands. That's why we can say comfortably that NOTHING fits him. Not unless we mold a saddle specifically to him. Which I can't afford to do if we can make something else work because then it won't fit any other horse. Here's a video of how he likes the Meleta Brown by Crates with his corrector pad. I think he likes it :) He has a very very short back, and not only wide shoulders, but literally soccer ball ROUND, not flat, and his withers are buried inside his shoulders.

Also wanted to add that the saddle looks like a great fit for you also. You looked very balanced in this saddle. I had one and loved it. My horse outgrew it or I would still be riding in it.

Location: In my own world | Coats saddles are another that is to sit behind the shoulder. I do not own one but if you look on YouTube and search Larry Coats Saddle position there is a good video where he explains it is to sit, his saddles, and also interesting info about how your cinch should sit. I can't post links from my phone

Yes, I agree. Now if someone will just come show me what I did with it......really the only reason it's not on is because I misplaced it. Seriously....I'm that absent minded....I took it off to ride a colt and have no idea where it's at.
And yes, I still think that having the saddle fit me so well is actually helping my horse tremendously!
