I'm thinking of starting a Facebook page where we can post, ask questions, share links, and maybe get more people involved. But then I hate feeling like I'm excluding the people who don't have Facebook. That's an oxymoron as if Facebook doesn't have drama!
I find it to be the #1 in drama, soap opera and TMI! LOL
I agree but I don't know what else to do to get people to participate. I think ill do the best I can on here to post links and articles |

Location: S. California Beach | The problem is...there are certain fads/trends in saddle fitting right now and people tend to subscribe to the fad/trend and dont want to learn about the true saddle fit theories. Then toss in the various aspects of saddle fit, different makers theiroes on each aspect and you get people lost (even when the basics are confusing to them), its very hard. I cant talk saddle fit with people any more, they all want a 10" gullet up on the horses shoulders |

I just want someone to invent a thingy that will scan a horses back and tell you what will fit your horse.
There is a lady Barbara Kennedy from Calgary Alberta that is starting to do this, she is using thermal imaging to assist with saddle fit. I messaged her on Facebook to inquire about it. |

But you still have to try saddles on the horse to get the images. We want something that tells you what will fit ahead of time so you don't have to buy and sell 327 different ones to find what works. |

Alison said Charon Caldwell was very nice and knowledgable. Maybe you could ask her to come talk. |

Location: De Berry, Tx | I would totally love for some good non drama saddle input! I have invested over $6000 in saddles trying to fit my gelding. I still have one for sale and unless I give it away no one is interested and it is new and a good name brand. I wish there was some one that would help you that didn't just represent one brand that could help you. I will say when I was at Kinder last weekend I was very impressed with Lynn Mckenzie and Double J and their thirst to make sure the horse is comfortable. They seemed like they would custom make a tree to fit if they didn't have it already |

I agree......
Another option would be to make up a "set of questions" and send it to each company requesting answers and then post those answers. |

There is a vet in SE South Dakota that is doing this also. I can PM anyone with a contact if interested. |

One of my high school friends is a leading integrated vetrinarian and she does thermal imaging in addition to other alternative and traditional methods. She just posted on her practice's FB page (Inspiritus Equine) that she needed to get her saddle adjusted after doing a scan. She is an English rider, but I just thought I'd share her pics because you all were chatting about it and it's really interesting!
