Which saddle makers make saddles with a wide gullet (7-8") for large shouldered horses that won't totally break the bank? I'm starting to search for a new saddle for my mare but not too sure where to start looking as far as brands go. Must be a quality brand name saddle.

For Admins- This is not a "wanted" ad.

Do a search as there have been numerous saddle fit discussions within the last 2 weeks

Define what price range you consider "doesn't break the bank". Under $1,000, $1,500, etc.

Martin Crown C's 6.5"-11" gullets

Caldwell Maxed Out or Caldwell Ultra Rocket

I believe other makers make a "wide" tree as well, like Double J, Circle Y, etc etc

I rode my giant wide guy in a Charmayne James by Cactus. It's for sale too :) because it is just too wide for my new horse.

Also, a 7-8 inch gullet isn't that wide. My Charmayne has a 9.5 inch gullet.

$1200-$1300 depending on how much I get for my Triple Creek.

I REALLY want to try a Crown C or a Caldwell, but the used ones are out of my price range.

To be honest, I was just estimating. I just know my "FQHB" TC is pinching her withers.
