I Chore in Chucks Posts: 2882 Location: MD	are they scabby or hivey? I have always had good luck with the iodine shampoo and the Mane and tail products have a medicated spray that you can use in between bath time if you don't have access to a heated barn and heated water during these cold days!

Expert Posts: 2276 Location: ohio-in my own little world with pretty ponies :)	My mare gets something like that in the spring. I wash it with iodine shampoo a few times a week and it stays away. She only gets it on the front of her hind legs.

Veteran Posts: 101	It isn't scabs or flakey. They look like bites but when you pull the hair back they are wart looking. They are on her neck.
