Veteran Posts: 171	I have a horse that is chewing on lead rope with tied up and chewing on pipe in stall. Any thoughts of what this might be going on?

Veteran Posts: 205	No To stall ball . My colt kills His in 5 Minutes flat . I take a small bleach bottle remove the label and lid. Fill it with small rocks , Shake it , Sit it on ground and walk away. My 2 Yr old Colt picks His up and shakes till all the rocks are out!!! He also puts it in His water bucket . TThen He tales it out and flings water everywhere !! lol

I Am Not Worthy Posts: 3151 Location: Wishing on a sunny island....	Mine do that. Especially when they are bored. I come home and there is green grass all over the end of the rope.

Special Somebody Posts: 3951 Location: Finally horseback again....	If it is a young horse, check for retained caps. That is very common to see chewing on things to get them out.

It's never fun to go to untie her and get a hand full of green slime, plus she's destructive to my leadropes. Lol. I've tried some Chew Stop stray but that doesn't faze her.

Veteran Posts: 171	I visited with my vet and he agreed he is bored. Suggested I turn him out for a while each day. He has a good size run with all the hay he can eat.
