I have an anhydrosis horse, I saw an ad on Facebook for cold flex cooling pads and wraps, I guess you wet them and they stay cool for a while to lower heart rate and body temp, seems like it would be great for my non-sweater?!? Anyone use these and have good luck with them? It's around $100 for 12 I believe with a few uses each, seems like a good investment for me

They are great and are the original.  Started in the human sports therapy/rehab industry.   You don’t need to wet them to start but you can spray mist them to keep them hydrated and from drying out.  You don’t need to keep them in the fridge, but you can, and you pull the blanket and/or the leg wraps out and they are cold and draw the heat out.  Rinse them off and store them in their plastic bag and stick back in your trailer or tack room.  You can buy the blanket or wraps separately or you can purchase the Pro Pack which is the blanket and wraps kit and you can save a little money by doing that.  In my experience everyone loves the blankets.  The leg wraps, people either love them and can’t live without them or don’t…

Natalie Foutch uses them on Orville - and I got a chance to work with them over this past weekend.  Natalie really likes them - her comment that resonated with me is that she can put the blanket on Orivlle's back and it isn't a cold shock to his back going on - because it is room temperature, but the technology behind it- helps pull heat out of his back and then leaves it cool.  She uses the leg wraps too and he stands there quietly and doesn't seem to mind them - and if you knew Orville - that is a significant accomplishment... LOL... he is a picky horse.

I am anxious to give their products a try.  Good luck with them if you buy them - I think you will like them.
