| I am looking at a few DTF 4-5 yr olds. Two of the three sellers have said, "well you know how those Fame mares are..." Or something to that effect.
Any DTF owners out there know what this means?
Thanks! |

| They are pretty "goofy" to put it mildly. They tend to be more fractious and nervous. I call them "busy". Once you gain their trust they usually have a lot of heart and grit. |

Location: Okemah,OK | The colt in my avatar is now a two year old Dash Ta Fame colt. He's laid back, everything has been easy with him. I have a yearling Dash Ta Fame daughter out of the daughter of the mare in my avatar. She's very quick, athletic and pretty. But......when she's loose in the pasture or lot, she's jumpy and sensitive. Put a halter on her and she's a completely different horse. Very kind, willing and smart. It's almost like she knows she can get away with being silly when there's no halter on her face. I wish she was that way all the time but I'm glad she's at least good to be around when she's caught. Her mom's Pacific Bailey lines aren't working in my favor though I'm sure lol. |

Not all PB are bad. I have had several and they all have been great horses. Daughters down to great grand daughters. |

I've only spent time around one and she's amazing. Very level headed and kind. My friend can put her 4 year old daughter on to trot around in peewees and then get on and run in the 1D. Not sure if she's always been like that but she's a neat horse. Own daughter of DTF and Jet of Honor/Johnny Boone on the bottom. |

I own 3 full brothers to the dam (all Pacific Bailey) & I adore them all. Would take 100 more if I could. But, they are a bit "different". I've had one for 10 years, best horse I've ever owned, extremely talented.....but he can be a handful and a spook. I'm so used to it by now, it's almost entertaining lol. I absolutely agree with you though, they are amazing horses. Wasn't trying to say they are bad, just they are their own kind :) |

You don't tell them they are going to do something. You show them and then ask them. Super smart. If you make them mad they hold grudges. I've ridden 8 DTF daughters and every one was the same way.
