And that had bad feet? Here's an update- she went lame. I took her to a vet at ESMS whose main concentration is feet and teeth- he's been a farrier longer then a vet... Per x rays we are dealing with 1 of 2 issues. 2 x rays showed the navicular looked great- 1 x ray showed some concerns. They also showed she has thin soles 7mm thick. From the x rays he wanted to first try fixing her soles before we jump to injecting the coffin joint- he also thinks with correcting her feet we will see positive changes in the navicular. So we ended up shoeing her with leather pads and soles packed with magic cushion. I had the vet/ farrier shoe her since he saw x rays and knows what he working with. She walked out of esms nearly sound. He is going to try to correct her feet- I am very excited to see the outcome. I am also happy he encouraged us to shoe and correct her rather then inject right away. He did say she has odd deceiving feet. When looking at her sole- it looks like more sole needs to come out- NOT THE CASE. His goal is to eventually get her back to barefoot and he also builds a pad for barefoot horses that helps encourage growth of a healthy frog. Very happy with his work.
