Looking for a proven stallion for my mare or an up and coming. Want to keep it under $800. Any recommendations or am I being too cheap? Below is my mare.

We are crossing our boy on running bred mares like yours :) His 2014 fee is $750. We did not breed outside mares last year, but we do have a mare of our own bred to him due May 28th. She is by Panther Mountain and out of a daughter of First Down Dash.

I think you're a little low on the $800 expectation for everything all together.

If I had your mare, I would look for a son of Dash ta Fame or I'd try to find Streakin Six, Noholme and/or Tinys Gay as close as I could in a stallions pedigree. Just what I would consider. Proven for $800 will be hard, but if you want to gamble....

I keep going back to Roll N Thunder. He is a good looking, well bred boy. He didn't perform, but everything else sure looks nice.

If you would like either a palamino or buckskin you should check out Frenchmans Bully. He has a great barrel horse pedigree and is a 1-D - 2-D proven cremello stallion. Stud fee is $650. Can email video and pictures.

Pyron Six is a Future Fortunes Stallion and stands for $800.  I love my mare by him.  He's a son of Streakin Six and out of the amazing mare Miss Emma Pyron by Bugs Alive in 75.

Firewater Fooler Own son of FIrewater Flit out of a Multiple 1D producing mare who is a grand get to Jet smooth. and if you compare this studs pedigree to firewater Fiestas its very similar! Has over $60,000 in barrel earnings from 1D jackpots and pro rodeos. and in 2014 I believe he has earned over $5,000 in 2014 alone so far. Here is his Face book page: https://www.facebook.com/FirewaterFooler Pedigree: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/firewater+fooler One of his ads: http://www.stallionsnow.com/stallion-ad-805064 NOTE*** He is grey but carries the palomino or "dilute gene" He has produced several palominos from sorrel mares, and this year he produced his very FIRST Buckskin filly from a Bay mare! He is a high percentage producer for color! and his foals are built and smart smart! a video of him running this past weekend: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=633083586761623&set=vb.10000179...

I think there are a lot of nice studs out there cheaper but if I am breeding a mare I look at what is in futurity programs and what might throw a baby that is worth a lot some day.  For $1500 stud fee you can find some top studs and when the babies hit the ground they are worth at least what you have out in getting it there.  Some are not worth a lot until you prove them so I guess it depends on your goals with the foal.
