Location: Ava, Missouri | I can't find my other post about this.. But I have some more questions. In Barrel Horse News, next to the qualifier's name, it said something like 2-slots, 3-slots, etc. What is that about? What is the Idol Contest, Coke Race & Spirit Contest, and Second Round Rally? And can anyone tell me what the arena/grounds are like at Perry, GA National Fairgrounds? Thanks so much! |

The slots are how many horses that person has qualified. The NBHA idol is a singing contest and usually has free food for everyone as well. The coke race is like a arena race except you have to grab a coke of the top of the barrel. You state directed may have someone picked for this. The spirit contest is where your state will have the theme and as a group you will decorate your self and golf carts around that theme. The 2nd round rally is just a night of fun and games for everyone. |

Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | You will love Perry. It is a very nice facility itch plenty of stalls and hook ups and 3 ponds. If you fish take your stuff. They say no fishing but we've done it and so have a ton of other people. No ones ever said anything. There is also a cafe on ground right next to Reeves arena. |

Location: Ava, Missouri | Thank you! But it said I had 3 slots, I only rode one horse in barrels last year, and my horse & pony in poles, so I don't understand why it says I have 3 slots ? |

| If you have 3 slots then that means you ended up in the top 5 of 3 divisions in the Youth class last year. 1 horse can earn points in multiple divisions. |

Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | You just collected points in 3 different divisions. You can take yours and borrow 2 more to take to World. I always ran 2 at district shows but qualified 4. I would take my friends horses

| Yep, that means you qualified to take three horse from placing in 3 different divisions. It's a lot of fun down at worlds. I definitely think that if you can find a way to go, you should go at least once. It's a great experience. I only take one horse even if I qualify for more because with an 18 hour drive for me and then with the cost of a stall for a layover, gas, entries and stall fee at the grounds, either hook up or hotel room, food and then anything you might want to buy while your down there, everything definitely adds up fast! If you have any good friends with extra spots on their trailers, "car"pooling is a good way to go:) The facility is awesome. It's huge with a bunch of ponds, there's grass turn out pens, 2 covered practice arenas, an outdoor, the two newer barns are really nice with open ends and big fans on the ceiling to keep air moving (I didn't get a chance to go into the other barns with temporary stalling). And there is an entire building with vendors so if there is anything you have been planning to buy, wait until you go!
