kmcsunshine - 2014-04-06 4:48 PM I didn't fall off and I didn't hit any barrels.  Don't know what won it as I was # 5 and left, but I feel as if it's a good start.  Bought a pussy willow on the way home and I need to go plant it while I can still move.  I'm afraid I used a few muscles today that I forgot existed.

Sorry for changing the subject.....but......pussy willow (doesn't really sound all that nice) caught my eye.  What is that and I know it is some sort of tree probably knowing you.  Guess I have never seen one.

Good for you Tia! You know dang well that even on your worst day, you can still ride dang well! Sure, it will take some time to get your timing and fitness back, but just like with the horses, we can't get back to being sharp without making the runs. I'm going to bet that a couple of really cool things happened today. 1) I guarantee that you had a big ole' smile on your face while you were patting on Tres back at the trailer after your run. 2) I also bet that you got him to that sweet little spot that lets him turn that 2nd barrel so nicely.

Keep it up Honey. Lord knows you deserve to be out there enjoying it all again!

I am just so tickled to hear that you got into the pool again!   The 1st one is the hardest and the most scary.   Will be great to hear when you are totally back and giving them heck again.

Just get on and do it! Go at the speed you feel comfortable at. I broke my arm in 2011 and it didn't heal for 14 mos. and two surgeries. I put on 20 plus pounds but I was determined to get back at it and with all the help and support of my great friends and family I am doing it now! Can't imagine my life without my barrel racing and my great friends!

Heres what you do, quit breeding fast ones and ones that can turn around and you'll be fine!!! Besides that as the  saying goes "A trip of a thousand miles starts with one step" or something like that..glad you took that first one and you wouldn't be so dang scared if it didn't matter so much.  Embrace it and go for it!!!
Stacy, I think if you tried to send Hops to anyone he throw himself out of the trailer to spite  you.
