I am thinking of trying another Martin. I am having a terrible time fitting my horse as I have already posted, my martin was the closest thing that fit him, I have gone through 5 more saddles since. The only problem I had with it was that it tipped very slightly forward when going down a steep incline and pinched slightly right around where the conchos are. He had some pretty big pockets behind his shoulders at the time, I am thinking I really should have tried to shim the saddle until he filled out or just tried a better pad so it didn't dip down into the pockets.
I had the iron horse version. How do they new martins fit as compared to the older models like the iron horse?

Do the new martins have trees anything like what they put in the Cashels? I have tried one of those and the tree was aweful!

I have a crown c and fitted it this weekend with a guy from Martin, very informative and I highly recommend giving them a call and seeing if there's anyone in your area trained to fit them.

I like the Crown C much better than the older Martin.
