What can you use/ how do you get rust off your spurs? My good ones are starting to rust, and I'd like to find some way to clean them up. Thanks!

If you know someone with a mechanic shop that has a sand-blast box... Those work great..

Let them soak in a dish filled with coke. Then clean them off, might have to do a good bit of rubbing, and resoak them a few times. But I have always heard that this will clean them very well, do the same thing with any bit that is also rusting.

Not sure I would try the coke thing, I tried it with some hinges that were covered in paint. took the paint off but rusted them a little. So I would try it on a non important piece of metal first. Agree with the sand blasting, but I think you have to coat them with something after you sand bloast them or they'll rust faster.

try Wink rust remover. You can get it at the grocery store. It is really easy to work with, wear plastic gloves and use an sos pad or steel wool to rub your spurs with. comes in a brown bottle.
