Arizona/Texas in the Winter

Is it difficult to find places to stall a horse for 2-3 months during the winter in Texas/Arizona, and the price ranges for a place that has arena access. Looking to see if it is feasible to do, as I am getting really sick of trying to keep a horse legged up during the very snowy winter. Also, looking for availability/amount of barrel races close by.

This might not be far enough south for you, but I just aquired a place that I intend to use for that purpose for people who just need to get away from the north country winters for a bit. It has barns with turnouts or stalls with runs and I am going to put in camper hookups for LQ trailers and an outdoor arena. It is about 40 miles from OKC. I know some people who don't want to go to the expense of going clear to AZ for the winter but could sure use a little break in the winter. Let me know if you want more info, otherwise good luck. The Buckeye Equestrian center in Buckeye Arizona where all the big winter barrel races are, rents full care stalls by the month for $400 a month. They clean, and bed the stalls and feed hay. Both grass and alfalfa hay and alot of it. You feed your own grain.

My friend Jodi stayed at Casa Grande this past winter. She said she'll do it again since she's a big weenie with the cold. LOL

If you have a living quarters to stay in there are some places where they have hookups, stalls and arena.

I think Dunn's arena does this as well? It's closer to Waddell I think. I just moved here and trying to get acquainted with everything....

Thank you guys! I am currently looking into adding up the cost and how much it would cost to go for a couple of months! I contacted Buckeye Equestrian Center about their boarding rates. I do know hook-ups are $400/month and that the riding pass is $100/month.
