Have you ever cried your eyes out ? There are times I have been so overwhelmed , I dropped to my knees , crying and shouting out to Jesus to help me. In Psalm 88 the writer speaks of continual tears that lead to painful eyes. What could possible make a person cry so much? Theologians believe this individual suffered from leprosy since childhood. Day and night his ailment caused physical, emotional , relational, and even spiritual suffering. He was discouraged, hurting, weak, and lonely. His prayer makes this one the saddest psalms in all of Scripture. Yet, in the midst of his painful circumstances , he consistently, and persistently cried out to God.
God's Word never promises freedom from "the pit" v 4 I am counted with those who go down to the pit I am like a man who has no strength
In fact, the Bible is full of examples of God fearing individual who declare His goodness and trust His presence in spite of their difficulties. Just think, this may have been one to the psalms prayed by Jesus in the midst of His suffering.
As you begin this week, take a moment to ponder the different types of difficulty you could encounter. God's Word guarantees we will face various kinds of trials. Will your soul be full of troubles? Will you lose strength? Will your acquaintances seem far away from you? Any and all of these could happen.
Determine to declare God's sovereignty regardless of the situations you face. God is still God of your salvation, even in your sorrows. He is Jehovah God! Cry if you must, but in the midst of your tears , remember to cry out to God. He will be present with you in your pain, even in the deepest , darkest pits of life.
Prayer may not change your circumstances, but prayer will definitely change you!

Father, guide me today, to do all things that will bring glory and honor to You. AMEN
FOR IT IS WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.
HAVE A VERY BLESSED MONDAY

Yes, I have been there, too.  I thank God that I've survived those days to enjoy better days and to be stronger for when those days come again.  Thank you, LORD.    Thank you, LJ for this message. God bless.
