Location: Blissfully happy Giants fan!!! | Depends on the horse. We put some on preovicoxx 5 days out from a race. Walk a lot and just get them loosened up. Post race we walk until they are breathing good again. Then we give them as much water as they want. Now that it is warmer we hose down real good as fast as we can. Then sore no more poultice on all legs, hocks, and stifles. Sore no more gel on their necks and backs.
My one mare had surgery on her left front leg. She gets a PHT blanket on and a boot on that leg before and after we run. And after I wash them down and the leg is dried somewhat, she gets ice packs on that leg and her PHT blanket goes back on it. Once the ice has melted, the PHT boot goes back on. That has really helped her scar tissue. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | Sweat the night before, poultice the night after. My horse has thinned cartilage in his front fetlocks that needs extra care. I also rub him daily with a mix that is 1/3 Bigeloil, 1/3 DMSO, and 1/3 glycerin. |
