Location: WV | Ok, work just has not been the same since we got a new administrator and he is a Jack A$$! He lies and has even lied on me! The girls I work with are nice but some have the tendency to start rumors or talk behind your back, make a big deal when you make a mistake but will never own up to them making one. I guess you will have that anywhere though. I have a lot of responsibilities to my job and try to do a good job, don't make a habit of calling off and I don't start trouble. Can you believe I even own up to doing something wrong. lol I have also been there for 6 years. Well I got a call from a manager at the local urgent care and said she gave my name to the medical clinic that they had a position open. So I did call her to see what they had open. It's a scheduling position a little different that what I do now. Pro's more $$$, a little better insurance, better hours, co-pay's are waived for visits and 60% anything insurance does not cover, free gym membership. The Con's is changing jobs, I won't be up and about like at my current job, having to get my daughter up and to grandparents by 7 so I can be at work. They are in the process of making changes right now and my duties are not 100% set yet. The manager seems nice. k. My current job has only said they don't want me to go. The DON (manager) said she was going to email the administer because she did not think he knew that I had to give an answer so soon. I don't see him doing much. At my current job I only get a .25 raise a year and it has been that way since I have been there. At the other job they said I could get another .50-$1 raise in Oct. From the outside looking in what do you think

| It sounds good. But like anything it's hard to tell from the outside looking in. But if you aren't happy where you are, what's to lose? |

Location: WV | I guess I feel that I know what I am into now but still don't hate going to work. I think that I complain a lot per my husband. lol I am scared of change also. |

| I've worked at my job for 14 years and it's had its ups and downs over the years. We have a new DON who is very unreasonable and nothing is ever good enough. I feel so unappreciated and if I had an opportunity like you I would be gone in a second. I have always loved being a nurse but lately I'm questioning my career choice. I would really weigh the good And bad of both jobs and pick the one you think will make you happy. Life is to short to be unhappy. I'm looking for something new but just not a lot of openings in my town at the moment.

Location: WV | Just like you there are not many opening in my area and I do not want to job hop. i thinking it boils down to me being scared. I felt bad for being interested in the money. Yes my job there has been many ups and downs also. So it can change any time if he would decide to leave. He is not from our area and we all just pray something comes up from where he is from. |

Location: Deep South | It sounds like a great opportunity. And, job hopping is not nearly as frowned upon as it used to be. With society's pace and cultural norms ever-changing people are much less likely to stay at a job for 40 years now like they used to. You've been there for 6, you've gained valuable knowledge and experience, I certainly wouldn't let that factor into my decision. |

| I'd talk about it first with your family (whatever and whoever this entails) ... get a feeling for how your schedule may change, write out your pros and cons of changing and discuss them with those who would be most affected.
Also - keep in mind that the only constant in life is change. If you are unhappy and this may be a better option for you, don't let a "change" scare you girl! Saddle up and go attack it! Sometimes the best things we can do in our lives is to shake it up and change a few things!
Lastly and most importantly (in my life for sure) pray about it. When faced with big decisions, I have found a little prayer asking for some direction sure does go a long way to ease my stress over it and show me the route I'm supposed to take. :)
