To buy a horse out of state sight unseen? Is there a safe way ? I have never done it before .. But there is a young horse id like to purchase sight unseen & have her shipped to me . Anyone have any info /advice on doing this ?

I take videos of my babies doing everything. Just playing in the yard, head to toe videos, loading in a trailer, bathing, etc. And, I may over do it lol, but the new owner should feel pretty confident with what they are getting from me. So, I would suggest that. Lot's of videos, pictures, etc. I get a purchase agreement signed. Make sure they have coggins and health certificate to cross state lines. You can request to speak to the vet doing the health certificate and ask for specific things from him....like a soundness exam, etc....I've asked a vet to write that there were no scars on the legs before for a buyer. Find a reputable transporter, if you aren't picking up yourself. I've heard bad stories about transporters. The last one I tried to use keep changing the dates on me and, thus, made the new owner uneasy, so we ended up meeting for the switch.

I buy them sight unseen all the time. Some are great deals, some are not. LRQHS pretty much covered everything.
