Had a bumper sticker that said "My Daughter and my Money go to Cal Poly" GREAT school though and the way Cal Poly grads network with each other through life is amazing.

^^ true on the networking. My hub is a CP alumni and AGR frat member. We are around 40-ish (lol) and he just had lunch with a frat brother today. We know people in ag up and down the state, all from college.

My ranch is in Paso Robles. About 45 minutes from Cal Poly. I college rodeoed for Fresno state myself. If your looking for a place to board, I have tons of room and my shoer is awesome and lives about 3 miles away. PM me if you have any questions.

Oooooo next time I get DRAGGED to Santa Barbara (kicking and screaming *wink wink*) can I come ride??? Lol. We go down to visit my in-laws 3x or more a year and always stay for like two weeks. My mother-in-law leaves me needing a lot of equine therapy by the time I get home!

But seriously, OP, Paso Robles is gorgeous and so is SLO. And the education she would get at SLO would be so awesome - just make sure she doesn't pick an impacted major lol. I have lots of family that have gone to CPSLO and they all LOVE what that school has to offer. It's a bit of a drive, and I'm not sure of pricing (I live in Oregon, but am from Santa Barbara) , but Santa Ynez is quite the equestrian-friendly place also.

Smarty-pants you!! Sending your kid to college in yummy wine-country!!
