Livin in the Dinosaur Age Posts: 1993 Location: the other T-town, Oklahoma	I do a mixture of 70% DMSO, 30% Voltaren Gel (horse version is Surpass) with about 8 oz of sterile water to help dilute it. It makes my Voltaren last longer. One of my horses that mixture is a little too "hot" she is more sensitive so I add an extra ounce or two of water to her bottle. I actually use mine a couple hours before I run, I use it on front legs from the knees down, hocks and stifles. A little bit goes a long ways. The DMSO I buy is the 99%.

Everything is a carcingen and I use Voltaren on myself so again not too concerned. I just know that combo words fantastic on my horses!

I have been around so much of it.. I only have to smell it, and I taste it for hours. There can be one horse out of 400 have DMSO on it, and I can smell it like I have an open bottle in my hand! It is aweful!

Never have had an issue. just be careful, DMSO has beeen known to cause retinal detatchment in humas, this is why it removed as a human drug years ago.
