I had one, I did like the saddle but the seat was just soooo wide I couldn't ride very long in it without back pain.

I had to sell mine, also.  I never had a migraine in my life until I rode in it.  Tried it on different horses.  Headache every time.

Now this is an interesting statement. Do we have a PT or Otho on the board that could explain this?

I had one and love how it fit my gelding, but the only thing was the swell was not very tall and I like taller swell's and a taller saddle horn. I felt like I had nothing to grab onto while running barrels so sold it, but I really did like my Ironhorse. They are a very well made saddle, and like the droped rigging on it.

I found one and bought it. Got a VERY good deal on it so I couldn't pass it up. I cleaned it up and oiled it up good and it looks like a new saddle again :D I've been at work this week so I will get to try it out this weekend. I did sit in it on the stand in the house and I am actually used to wide seated saddles (both my ranch saddles have wider seats). This one hadn't seen too much oil but man after a coat or two, I can't believe the quality of the leather. I will try to remember to post some of the before and after pictures I took. I think the drop rigging will be nice, and teh way the gullet and bars are is what seems to fit my horses. I like the taller horn on this and the overall "look" of it. Now just to see if it rides as good as it looks it would!!

The look of them is really nice. They look a bit more "ranchy" than like a barrel saddle, which I prefer. I had a real hard time parting with mine, just wish It had been narrower!

Mine was so well made and I loved the looks of it and the leather was great.  It worked well for the gal I sold it to.
