We are slowly getting ready to upgrade our trailer and I am wondering what floor is prefered and why.
So please give me the pro's and cons for both floors.

You would find a wood floor more often in a trailer with a steel skin and an aluminum frame. What type of trailer are you looking for? LQ, stock, bumper pull?

I am looking for a 4 horse LQ. Right now I have a 1996 steel 3 horse CM with weekender.
The weight is not a factor, our truck is more than strong enough to pull, so no issues there.
I am just curious to hear what the preference is for most.
Also which one is the easiest in maintenance?

I prefer wood flooring. Aluminum flooring holds more heat (even though most say it will deflect it), can be costly and a pain to replace or repair and any metal flooring has more vibration than wood. Its also more likely to have corrosion problems in my area (rain, snow and high humidity). The only thing I do like about aluminum flooring is how easy it is to spray out and clean. I have heard that the Werm flooring systems helping the life of any flooring systems so it may be something to look into no matter what flooring you choose.

Love wood flooring. Ive never had an issue with it. Super easy to maintain and clean. I spray out my trailer once a year (remove all floor mats). The nicest thing about wood flooring is that if the horse pees it will dry super quick and it will run through the cracks. It easy and cheap to replace a plank. I owned a trailer for 14 years with wood flooring and I never had to replace it. I would check it every spring before I started hauling.
