Amy Laymon but I am not sure if she takes in older horses or just colts.

I second Amy, but I think she focuses more on futurity colts.  Great trainer and great horsewoman!

I third Amy Laymon, I've heard she uses Jed Ward to do the initial break out sometimes and she finishs the horses out. She is a great lady!

Im sure you have checked for soreness? That is where my mind goes when there is a gate issue.

Amy Laymon or Jeanne Anderson.  Jeanne lives in White City & I've taken my daughters horse to her 3 times once for 30 days & then twice for a 10 day tune up.

I was going to suggest Jeanne given that you're in NE Kansas. Someday I want to ride a horse trained by Amy Laymon though - everything I've seen her ride has had some wicked turns.
Others that come to mind but aren't as well known as Jeanne (but then again, who IS? LOL) are Tami Hoch near Great Bend, Katie Larson at Manhattan, and Amy Prather near Wichita. I know Amy's on the road rodeoing quite a bit this year but she has some experience with fix-it projects.

Jeanne Anderson!! - I've know quite a few who have sent horses to her with GREAT results AND she is reasonably priced as well!

I'm starting to figure out that when she is due for the chiro to come out, she will refuse the gate.....unfortunately the doctor is booked out a month, her appointment isn't until july 25th. I'm assuming it is a pain issue for her.

Who would you all recommend between Amy and Liana Deweese? Liana isn't in Ks, but close. Trying to decide who to send a colt to later this year..

Never send anything to Jed Ward. Unless you're wanting to pay for 30 days of training for one ride.
