Differences between Martin Racer & Crown C?

I'm currently in a Crown C, but will need to be going up in gullet size in a few weeks. I've come across a Racer in the dimensions I think I'd need:
do the Racers need to be shimmed and fitted exactly like the Crown C?
do the seat sizes fit the same? For instance, I can ride a 14.5 pozzi, but 15 crown c. Would I still be a 15" in the Racer?

I believe the bars and gullets are the same, but the seat is different. My understanding is the racer will sit you more on your pockets. I had a friend get a racer same size as a crown c, she sold the racer as it was too small for her seat wise.
I would call Martin themselves and have them discuss the differences with you.

i have tried both. to me the racer has a taller pommel than the cc and the leg opening is tighter. I normally use a 15 but with the crown c I needed a 15.5. I felt more secure in the racer. I think the tree is the same in both, just a little different style above the tree.

I have only seen the crown c's but I ride a racer. When looking at and sitting in the seat I thought wow the pommel is tiny but that sucker holds me in. I also agree with the size thing. Mine measures to a 14" and fits like a 13.5 but it doesn't bother me- just makes me feel more secure.

Thanks, everyone!
I'd hate to buy it without sitting in it... I believe I will just go with the Crown C. It's 1/2" bigger than what I wanted in the gullet, but I think I really enjoy how I feel in my turns with the Crown C.
