I've been working out
(at least once a day but a lot of times twice
)/eating well for the past 2.5 weeks or soΒ and have already lost 5 pounds. I just make sure to stay away from anything processed! I also don't drink pop and I've really cut down on drinking alcohol
(for now lol
). That being said, I have a bachelorette party to go to this weekend so I'm trying to save up a few extra calories for that LOL.
One thing I will say...I have a huge weakness for ice cream....BUT I've found a way to satisfy it!
Freeze peeled bananas and blend them! The consistency is so much like ice cream it's crazy! I also add PB2 to it to make it even more delicious! They have chocolate PB2 and then just regular peanut butter flavor...they're both amazing but I think the regular is better! One thing though - I tested a little spoonful in the the freezer overnight after I made it and it "ices" up instead of staying smooth and creamy so I usually just use one banana at a time for one serving.
So that's what I've been obsessed with lately LOL! I have found that it is pretty easy to transition to healthy eatingΒ since they've found so many ways to "copycat" the unhealthy stuff! I've also found that it's easier to stick to a healthy diet if you're exercising. I can't come home from a workout and get McDonald's because, well I just can't waste a good workout lol.
Good luck girl!
ETA: I'm sure you've heard this but it's just so important lol...DRINK LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER!!! Especially before eating something...usually your body is "hungry" for water when you think it's hungry for food. I get full faster on less food when I drink lots!
I make these "shakes" all the time and LOVE them!! I add vanilla, peanut butter, maple syrup, almond milk and two bananas with some cocoa. They're so smooth and delish!! Great suggestion.

I've been tracking macro's for about a month, maybe a month and a half. I will honestly say I still suck at it. But it's teaching me to have a more healthy relationship with food. If I crave something, ie chocolate I eat it. I don't binge, I don't eat all the chocolate in sight then stress about it. I have my chocolate then move on. I love it, the whole idea of tracking macro's. In that time period I have lost 5 lbs, inch plus off my waist, 2 inches off my hips. I absolutely love it. Not once do I feel like I'm starving, I don't binge eat after work anymore ie bowls and bowls and bowls cereal.

If you just don't eat anything processed the weight will come off. Diets persay don't work. Changing what you eat does.
just eat real food

I'm right there with you outrundaisy
(except I'm older & heavier lol
). I know what the good food choices are. I even like the good stuuf
(fruits & veggies
) but I still eat the junk if its anywhere near me. Its not any harder to pick up an apple or some carrot sticks at the store than it is a bag of chips or a candy bar. But the evil little voice in my head says "buy the doritos". I need a food moniter to follow me around and smack me every time I look at junk food.
