The pos about tack rooms on trailers got me to wondering how every one organizes there tack room in the barn. My tack room is a 12x12 shed that I have to share with the rest of the family's non-horse related "junk". With the exception of my saddles my other stuff is in the corner on the floor. And my bits and halters hang on nails on the wall. We have 2 wood rods that hangs from chains in the roof that used to used to hold fishing poles so I laid a T-post across them and that's where my saddle pads go. But everything else like medincins fly spray brushes boots and especially hoof picks gets lost in the clutter. How do you organize a ton of stuff in a small space?

I am a diehard user of the stackable plastic bin/drawer setups. I use painters' tape as a label because it comes off so easily. That's where I keep all my vet supplies, no-bows, polos, anything loose or that needs to stay especially clean.

I was given a swing out saddle rack and a ten-arm blanket rack by my neighbor who bought a horse trailer to haul lamas in. So I have those mounted (100% stationary) in the tackroom also. My tack room is roughly 12x4, long and narrow. My saddles are on one of the narrow walls, with the pad rack right next to it - saves a TON of space. All my bridles, halters, extra breast collars, etc. are all hanging on nails on the wall.

I LOVE TO ORGANIZE!!
