Does anyone know anything about the place that is about 30 miles or so south of Hattiesburg off of 98 (if heading towards Mobile it is on the left)? Who owns the ranch and the quality of horses? At a glance it looked like quite a few horses...

here is the website pineywoods.org
It's a country life boarding school. You can find out about their animals on the site.

here is the writeup on it:

Piney Woods Country Life School
  • The Piney Woods Country Life School is a co-educational independent historically African-American boarding school for grades 9-12 in Piney Woods, unincorporated Rankin County, Mississippi. It is 21 miles south of Jackson. It is one of four remaining historically African-American boarding schools in the United States. It is currently the largest African-American boarding school, as well as being the second oldest continually operating African-American boarding school.

Oh! Yeah! I've been told that they're mustangs that the government brings in and lets the school break.
