What kind do you recommend? I have the rawhide stirrups, and basically just want a difference look.

I love Walls 2" barrel racer stirrups.  Just got my first pair of Walls slanted stirrups and still not sure if I like them or not.

I was thinking of the slanted because my knees do get sore while riding.

Love my Walls slanted stirrups!  I can't tell you the number of times I have wacked my knee with them though getting my saddle out of the trailer!

I love my crooked stirrups. I have knee issues and they are so comfortable. The Walls slanted stirrups work well too. I just prefer the crooked stirrups myself. I like how they have a wide tread on them.

Another vote for Crooked Stirrups.  I have had mine for years and love them.  I've done drill tram, barrels and distance riding in them.  They have saved my knees!

there's a good picture of each.  I have the twister, nice because it does take the pressure off if your leathers aren't twisted very good.

My problem with the slanted is they feel too long on the flat stirrup adjustment, but when I move them up a single hole, they're too short.  This is on my crown c.  I've had them for over 2 weeks now and am about ready to take them off.

I'd be willing to try them out, just to see if they can help my knees. If you want to sell them, I may buy them from you.

I have 3 different brands of crooked stirrups and none of them ride the same.

I just wanted to update this because I bought a different saddle and tried the slanted stirrups on it today and actually liked them.  Apparently, it was the saddle that made the difference.  The other one has a hamley twist on the leathers (crown c) and the new one doesn't (Merrill) and I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not.  Anyway, I'm glad I held onto them.
