I actually posted a link to this on the helmet thread that was ignored in favor of fighting. Β
Wearing a helmet is a choice, but it is a choice that might save your life.
Β Amen! If I hadn't been wearing one I would have died in the dirt in an arena. As it was it just took the grace of God, trauma surgeons, and lots of time to get me to where I am now. |

Well to be fair...the article doesn't state wether or not she was wearing a helmet and I dont want to assume either way. Β I just found it to be sad...particularly that she was with her dad...and I noticed it said she was a barrel racer.

Location: The South | I cried when I read this on FB the other day. I can't imagine how hard this must be for her dad, having to see everything happen. I had a freak horse accident last September and came really close to dying. It can happen in the blink of an eye. I don't think I'll ever understand why some people get taken so soon and others get to stay around for a second chance at life. I guess I have a weird sort of survivor's guilt, I don't know. Many prayers for her family and friends. |
