For those who were interested, we brought my colt in for a second opinion when he looked as though he'd taken a turn for the worst. The vet bills were adding up and I was frustrated with the lack of results so I stopped all the steroids and painkillers, I continued with the ulcer guard for 3 days after stopping treatments. I put him out alone in our biggest pasture and 3 weeks later he's a different horse. He's using his back end, not stumbling/tripping at any gait, his energy is 100% up and he has gained almost all of his muscle back. When I talked to vet, his only thought was that it was growth spurts causing pinching and that it was not "true wobblers" and may have been coincidence that he had been kicked and started to show signs. Unfortunately I don't know enough about wobblers and the information I have researched varies so much. Regardless, I am hoping this is not a false alarm and the by 2016 I'll be able to throw a saddle over his back.

glad hes better.. healing. my guess is he was kicked and had inflammation around spine and that was causing it.. inflammation is down and hes healing .. praying he stays on current path. I never really thought with his issues it was True wobblers..thinking injury induced nuero
