Location: Down South | I'm getting ready to produce a Thanksgiving run here in my area. The usual run that's been taking place for many years now is no more. What are some formats used in your area for 2 day runs.? Fun things to do? I'm calling my run the Turkey Twerk 4D . . but there WILL NOT be a twerking contest. Just thought the name was catchy! I feel like we are stuck in the same routine around here, so looking for how things are done in your area/state. I know we all tend to do things different. THANKS! |

Location: Oklahoma | Is there a seperate race each day, or a comined race over 2 days? Give our prizes for the average? Is there an option to enter both day or just one? Added money?
So many variable come into play when yo uare doing a 2 day race. :) |

No kidding - you have a ton of options. I've seen producers have a glow in the dark race, bareback race, bikini race, costume contest/race, target time prize, average prizes etc. |

| I don't really care about the extras. I like fair treatment, friendly staff, and good ground or at least consistent ground. Of course good added money, too.:) I hope it goes well for you. |

I agree with this...I guess I am getting old and boring, LOL!
One thing. I recently went to my first barrel race that did exhibitions with the ticket method...you your exhibitions and they give you a ticket for each one and when you want to go, you get in line and hand your ticket to the gate man...really liked it. |

The ticket method for exhibitions is the only way I've ever done training at my shows. It's easier for me to have a worker at the gate with a clipboard writing down the order of names as tickets are presented versus having to have someone on the microphone calling for people on a list. For some reason in my area people have a phobia of the microphone.!! no kidding.!  |

Location: Silex, MO | Don't shoot the me here however I don't like the ticket thing only because they don't call out your time around here. I am trying to get a colt going and it very hard to see where she is at other than paying the fee for the open. Also, the people that are taking the tickets are very soft spoken around here so you have to stay pretty close to make sure you don't miss them calling your name. If they have a handful of tickets you go to the bottom. At least with a list you sign up number 25 you know your running #25 and can go from there. So there is no right or wrong just different strokes. |
