Location: Where its too expensive! | I was thinking about buying a older Courts Sharon Camarillo saddle. I was wondering what you guys thought about them? Are they made well? And what would you pay for one? It's at least 10 yrs old, but in excellent condition. Well taken care of. 14" seat FQH bars. |

Location: on my horse | loved loved loved mine! made a stupid money based decision and sold it because it was the most valuable thing i had at the time (gives you a hint at what they're worth)
I miss it every single day! I loved the way it rode and fit a horse, mine was from the late 80's if I'm remembering correctly. It had a nice flat close feel to the seat and was great quality. |

To each his own.........be sure and try one first. That's always a good idea with any saddle. |

Location: Texas | Just be sure to try it first. Make sure it fits your horse. I didn't like the way mine fit my horses. It was too narrow and tended to be a bit pinchy. |

I agree, mine fits a pretty narrow horse.
I also don't like using it on my young colts, as I find the saddle doesn't let me sit on my pockets, and tips me more forward and I feel insecure.
Well built saddle, no complaints on that |

Double j has a program where they ship you a saddle to "test ride" for a couple days. Also, you can tell how old your courts saddle is by looking under the cantle at the number stamped there. If there are 2 rows of numbers the top row is the month and year your saddle was built. If there's just 1 long number the first 2 indicate the year built. |

| First saddle I ever bought was a courts Sharon Camarillo. I bought it around 1993 or 1994 very well made and it's still in great condition 20 years later. I ride in my Merrill most the time now but I still use the courts if I'm riding two horses. I never had any complaints about my courts just wanted a flex tree so I got the Merril. |
