How do you get the seat size that truly helps you, not hinders you, according to your body size?? Anybody have the checklist for body type? The girls that are endorsing and designing saddles usually weigh 100 lbs soaking wet, which I certainly don't. I'm just wondering how to pick a saddle seat size and type for people that are not built like sticks?
I always ride at least a 15" tree, and have the recommended distance between my leg and the swell, but I'm wondering if there's any tricks or recommendations I'm missing out on?

Id like to know too. Buying my first barrel saddle
(in several years
) soon. My roping saddle is a 15 1/2 and the cutting saddle I ride in is a 16. Feel like I "swim around" in both a little. Ive got my eyes on a triple creek gold series right now. Wondering how they run.. true to size ??

I just asked a similar question to do with Double J saddles. I'm a stick but I don't weigh any 100 lbs. either. I had a 15" Circle Y NBHA barrel saddle which I liked, but I felt like I was swimming a little in and couldn't keep my balance. So I got a 14" Courts barrel saddle that I like too, but I'm getting my feet behind me in, so am trying to work with stirrup length
(which I've had my trainer set my stirrup length, so I don't think that is it
) and possible too small of a seat size too.
So I guess this is a long, drawn out bump. :

RE: Barrel saddle seat size.
When I bought my 1st Caldwell, Charon asked my height, weight & how I was built. Then she told me what size seat I could ride for each tree & rise in her saddles.
