one of my horses got into cactus's and most of them I have gotten out. however, there is patches of little ones that I am having trouble getting out. any one ever had this happen? any suggestions on something I can pour on the patches that might help them dissolve?

We have cactus here really bad, the little round ones on the ground and they just come out on their own. I haven't ever had one really fester or anything. If I can pull some out I do, but the tiny hair fiber like ones, just come out.

My horses always get cacti in them. I just pull the large ones out. The little ones eventually disolve and dissappear but some times the large ones break off in the skin and get infected. You could use tweezers to get some out. I don't know anything that would dissolve them.

thnx for you info. I saw where some people take duct tape and pull some of the small one out. I just can't get all of them. just afraid it will get infected.

Put Elmer's glue on the area and let it dry then pull it off and it should take out the little ones that are left......
